About a dozen internationally recognized lecturers and a little over a hundred and fifty students registered for the event. Dr. habil. Anikó Szalai, the Dean’s Representative for International Relations at the Faculty, talked in detail about the one-week program.
The conference's objective, in addition to commemorating the centenary of the Turkish Republic, was to outline the history of Hungarian-Turkish relations and to promote their significance.

An expanded cooperation agreement, signed on 13 June 2023 in Szeged by the representatives of the University of Szeged and the East China University of Political Science and Law, opens up new dimensions in legal education and research in Szeged. The University of Szeged will cooperate with the internationally prestigious Shanghai-based University in the field of education and research, and plans are also underway for faculty and student exchange programs.

The “SZTE Prezilimpia 2023” presentation competition was held in the spring semester, organized by the Faculty of Economics, the SZTE Junior Academy and “Ez a Beszéd Szeged Toastmaster Klub” in cooperation with Philip Morris Hungary.
In the academic year 2022/23, the Faculty of Law and Political Sciences of the University of Szeged marks its 150th anniversary of its foundation. As part of the ongoing celebrations, the Department of Public Administration Law and Financial Law paid tribute to the late Prof. Dr. János Martonyi with a commemorative session and the unveiling of a memorial room in his honor. Prof. Dr. Márta Görög, Dean of the Faculty of Law, gave the opening remarks, and the event featured presentations by Dr. Tibor Navracsics, Minister for Regional Development, among others.
By providing 12 grants of $10,000 each, the goal of this program is to encourage young researchers to conduct research on the shared legacy of the Silk Roads.

The Faculty of Law and Political Sciences of the University of Szeged marked its 150th anniversary in the academic year 2022/23, with a commemorative celebration on March 31, under the headline “In service of Hungarian legal education for 150 years."
Her Excellency Ms Claire Legras, France’s Ambassador to Hungary, delivered a French lecture on “Europe and defense one year after the invasion of Ukraine” in the context of the Russia-Ukraine war, which has been going on little over a year. The event was held on February 23, at the invitation of the University of Szeged’s Francophone University Centre, in collaboration with the International and Regional Studies Institute.
