Challenges raised by artificial intelligence and digitalisation
in the field of law, international relations and politics

Synopsis
The development of digitalisation and artificial intelligence has created a number of new challenges for social sciences of the early 21st century. Several research approaches gain ground due to the evolution of digital society and the widening of virtual space in the field of law and political sciences. Our conference will focus in particular on the following aspects: influence on the functioning of state institutions; new possibilities for active citizenship; protection of individual fundamental rights in virtual space; the impact of digitalisation on international relations and politics.
These approaches explore the relationship between the individual and the community in the mirror of preserving traditional balances (democracy and the rule of law) amid effects of digital transformation and virtual space. Through traditional static and dynamic examinations, national and international legislation and politics seek answers to changes of constitutional institutions (especially the institutions of legislation, justice and execution, as well as certain political institutions) due to the evolution of digital society and the widening of virtual space. While exploring political sciences related issues, we focus on challenges of shaping political communication and foreign policy, driven by digitalisation.
The event is carried out with the support of the programs of the Hungarian Ministry of Justice enhancing the standards of legal education (IX-SZ/ID/513/2/2022).

A mesterséges intelligencia és a digitalizáció által teremtett kihívások a jog, nemzetközi kapcsolatok és politika területén

A digitalizáció és a mesterséges intelligencia fejlődése számos új kihívást teremtett a 21. század eleji társadalomtudományok számára. A digitális társadalommá való átalakulás és a virtuális tér megnyílása számos kutatási megközelítést kínál a jog- és politikatudományban, amelyből a konferencia különösen az alábbiakra fókuszál: az állam intézményeinek működésére gyakorolt hatás; az állampolgári részvétel előtt megnyíló lehetőségek; az egyéni alapjogok védelme a virtuális térben; a digitalizáció nemzetközi kapcsolatokra és politikára gyakorolt hatása.
Ezek a megközelítések az egyén és a közösség kapcsolatát kutatják a hagyományos egyensúlyoknak (demokrácia és jogállamiság) a digitális átalakulás és a virtuális tér által gyakorolt hatások közötti fenntartása vonatkozásában. A nemzeti és nemzetközi jogalkotás és politika hagyományos statikus és dinamikus vizsgálatával választ keres az alkotmányos intézmények, különösen a jogalkotás, igazságszolgáltatás és végrehajtás intézményeinek, valamint egyes politikai intézményeknek a változásaira a digitális társadalommá való átalakulás és a virtuális tér megnyílása miatt. A politikatudományi vizsgálatok keretében hangsúlyt helyezünk a politikai kommunikáció és a külpolitika alakításának kihívásaira a digitalizáció kapcsán.
A rendezvény az Igazságügyi Minisztérium jogászképzés színvonalának emelését célzó programjai keretében valósul meg (IX-SZ/ID/513/2/2022).
