The International and Regional Studies Institute of the University of Szeged is to be taking part in a project aiming to ease the legal accessibility among the V4 countries starting February 2018. The project is led by the Central European Service for Cross-border Initiatives Hungary with further partners of the Central European Service for Cross-border Initiatives Carpathia from Slovakia, the Masaryk University Faculty of Science – Department of Geography representing the Czech Republic and the University of Warsaw – Centre for European Regional and Local Studies contributing from Poland.
The project funded by the Visegrad Fund has the vision to elaborate legal solutions additionally to the free movement of people aiming to ease the legal boundaries of border crossings between Hungary, Slovakia, the Czech Republic and Poland.
To be able to propose such a solution, the coordination and cooperation of the Scandinavian and Benelux states should be taken as an example, while organising study tours and publishing handbooks according to the field of labour, education and everyday life, which lead to the proposal on a V4 Mobility Council including its structure and operation.
The project is to be closed in July 2019 with a budget of 30 000 Euros funded by the Visegrad Fund and with that indirectly by the governments of the Visegrad Countries.
