European Public Law Organization (EPLO) has the Academy on European Public Law (AEPL). Every year, AEPL organises intensive lectures for three weeks on cross cutting and interdisciplinary topics of European public law targeting the doctoral students all over the world. The participants receive certificate attendance after completing the three-week intensive lectures. The Institute of Regional Studies of the University of Szeged provides financial supports to the students at this university to attend the program. AEPL also offers the Intensive International Master of Laws (IILLM) on European Public Law for the participants. The participants for IILLM program need to attend the lectures for two summers and write a thesis of not less than twenty-two thousand words.

Every year it announces a prize, named Ortega Thesis Prize, for the best thesis in honour of the memory of Professor Luis Ortega, former Director of the Academy of European Public Law. This year (2021), Ferdous Rahman, a doctoral student of the Department of Private International Law, University of Szeged has received this award, jointly with another participants, for her thesis titled, “Determination of Public Purpose by Non-National Adjudicators in International Commercial Disputes”. The thesis argued inconsistencies in interpreting ‘public purpose’ exceptions in international commercial disputes by non-national arbitrators as well as judges from third States. This program not only enhances knowledge on European public law but also provides a platform for developing professional network.
