eduroam is a global Wi-Fi network that allows students and staff to access the internet at universities and research institutions around the world.
Where Can You Use eduroam:
Anywhere you see “eduroam” listed in available Wi-Fi networks, whether on campus or at any participating institution worldwide. This gives you seamless connectivity even if you travel between universities or countries.
How it Works:
You do not need to manually enter usernames or passwords each time you connect. Your device will automatically log in using your institution-provided credentials (your username and password given by the university).
The connection is secure and protects your privacy—your password is never shared with the access points.
How to Get eduroam Access:
Your home institution (where you study or work) provides the login credentials. You do not need to request a new account when visiting other institutions that offer eduroam.
Cost:
eduroam is free to use, thanks to agreements between universities and research institutions worldwide.
