How can you travel to Szeged by plane, train or bus?
There are two ways to get from Budapest to Szeged: by car transfer and by train.
Travelling by car transfer

Travelling by train
I. Arriving by plane to Budapest: If you are arriving at Budapest Liszt Ferenc International Airport,
the easiest way to get to Szeged by train is the following:
Step 1 – From Liszt Ferenc Airport to Ferihegy Railway Station:
Option 1: take a Taxi from the Airport
Taxi Stand: After you exit the terminal, head to the official taxi stand located
outside the airport.
Taxi Ride: The taxi ride to Ferihegy Railway Station (which is next to the
airport) will take around 5-10 minutes, depending on traffic.
Option 2: Take Bus 200E to Ferihegy Railway Station
Bus No. 200E: From Liszt Ferenc Airport (Terminal 2), take the 200E bus towards
Ferihegy Railway Station
Step 2: From Ferihegy Railway Station to Szeged:

II. Arriving by bus to Budapest: If you are arriving at Budapest-Népliget Bus Station,
the easiest way to get to Szeged is the following:
Népliget is a major bus terminal in Budapest, but to travel to Szeged, you will need
to get to one of Budapest’s main railw ay stations, namely Nyugati Railway Station,
where the trains to Szeged depart from.
Start at Népliget Metro Station:
At Népliget, board Metro Line M3 (Blue Line) at the Népliget metro station.
Travel on Metro Line M3 (Blue Line):
Take Metro Line M3 (Blue Line) towards Újpest-Központ. ·
You will need to travel 4 stops to reach Nyugati Pályaudvar (Nyugati Railway Station).
The journey will take around 10-12 minutes.
Nyugati Pályaudvar is the Nyugati Railway Station stop, and it is a major transportation
hub in Budapest, with easy access to trains.

III. Arriving by train to Budapest:
1, If you are arriving at Keleti Railway Station, firstly you have to go Nyugati Railway Station
Start at Keleti Railway Station:
Upon arriving at Keleti Railway Station, head to the Keleti Metro Station, which is
connected to the railway station.
Take Metro Line M2 (Red Line):
At Keleti Metro Station, board Metro Line M2 (Red Line) towards Déli Pályaudvar (Déli
Railway Station).
Travel 2 stops:
Stay on Metro Line M2 for 2 stops. The two stops you will pass are: Blaha Lujza tér, Astoria.
Arrive at Nyugati Railway Station:
Exit the Metro at Nyugati Pályaudvar (Nyugati Railway Station) station, which is directly
connected to the Nyugati Railway Station.
