The International and Regional Studies Institute of the Faculty of Law and Political Sciences and the International Diplomatic Student Association Szeged organized the Third IRSI-IDSA International Affairs Conference, held on 19 February. 24 PhD and one Masters level student attended the conference from the University of Szeged, Eötvös Lóránd University, National Public Service University, University of Debrecen, University of Pécs, Universitatea de Vest din Timișoara (Romania) and presented their papers in the broader field of international affairs.

Dean Márta Görög opened the conference representing the Faculty of Law and Political Sciences. Vice Director Anikó Szalai greeted the attendees in the name of the International and Regional Studies Institute and President Anna Vaszkó of the International Diplomatic Student Association Szeged was the last giving a speech in the opening.

Presenters participated in five sessions. The attendees of the conference had the opportunity to hear presentations from a very diverse ray of actual and theoretical subjects, for example about the Brexit, e-governance, defence policy or law-making by INGOs.

Maybe the best marks of having a successful conference were that the audience took actively part in many sessions with showing their interest by asking questions and the Chairs were content with the presentations too.
