SZTE Alma Mater's Alumni Mentoring Programme is an initiative that forms a bridge between university students and the world of work. The aim of the program is to help students build their careers and to create an opportunity to gain real-world experience during their university studies. Launched in spring 2014, the programme has since delivered over 1000 successful mentoring sessions.

The main goal of the Alumni Mentoring Programme is to enable students to gain valuable experience in the labour market beyond their internships, to expand their knowledge and to build their network of contacts. At the same time, the programme helps mentors to stay in touch with their alma mater, to ensure that companies have a supply of new staff and to support the professional and personal development of the next generation. The mentoring programme is very popular with students, as it offers an unlimited number of sessions, allowing them to seek advice from successful professionals with a deep understanding of the labour market in a personal and unique flexible way.

The relationship between mentor and mentored is flexible and informal, based on the agreement of both parties and depends on the possibilities and needs of each party. A minimum of two to three contacts per month is recommended, but the content of the cooperation and the way of contact can be freely adapted (face-to-face and online modes are accepted).
