The English Master in International Relations Program (MIR) is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year. The event organized to mark the occasion brought together nearly 40 participants, including students, faculty members, and colleagues from the Faculty of Economics.
In his opening speech, Prof. Dr. Antal Tamas, Vice Dean for Academic and General Affairs, expressed pride in the program’s global success, with alumni around the world and strong support from the professional staff and academic events.
Dr. Aniko Szalai, Head of the International and Regional Studies Institute, emphasized that the program maintains its competitive international standing through a reformed curriculum that aligns with global topics and standards.
Dr. Gizem Gültekin-Varkonyi, academic coordinator and one of the program's first graduates, shared her gratitude towards the faculty and administrators. She also introduced three alumni via an online platform to share their experiences.
The event concluded with the traditional MIR cake, appetizers, and beverages, providing a warm and friendly atmosphere for all participants to connect.
