The International and Regional Studies Institute of the Faculty of Law and Political Sciences and the International Diplomatic Student Association Szeged organized the Second IRSI-IDSA International Affairs Conference. 22 PhD, 4 Masters and 3 Bachelors level students attended the conference from the University of Szeged, Eötvös Lóránd University, National Public Service University, University of Debrecen, University of Pécs, Babes-Bolyai University (Romania), Eftimie Murgu University (Romania), University of Groningen (the Netherlands) and the Central European University (Austria/Hungary) and presented their papers in the broader field of international affairs.

Vice Dean Norbert Varga opened the conference representing the Faculty of Law and Political Sciences. András Hárs greeted the attendees in the name of the International and Regional Studies Institute and President Gábor Kókai of the International Diplomatic Student Association Szeged was the last giving a speech in the opening.

Presenters participated in six sessions. The attendees of the conference had the opportunity to hear presentations from a very diverse ray of actual and theoretical subjects, for example about regional identity, Nordic cooperation, Social media as the platform for political mobilization in authoritarian regimes, defining and conceptualisation of terrorism, trade and tax issues or GDPR.

Maybe the best marks of having a successful conference was that the audience took actively part in many sessions with showing their interest by asking questions and the Chairs were content with the presentations too.
