One of the partner universities of the University of Szeged Faculty of Law and Political Sciences, the Southwest University of Political Science and Law of Chongqing (SWUPL) is 70 years old this year, in September. For this occasion, their leadership has planned to organize a grand international online conference where the leaders of our University and our Faculty were invited – us being the only Hungarian institution to receive such an honor.

The SWUPL asked Prof. Dr. László Rovó, Rector of the University of Szeged and Prof. Dr. Márta Görög, Dean of the Faculty of Law and Political Sciences to deliver a short congratulatory speech and a scientific presentation. The recorded videos of the speeches were distributed around the SWUPL Campus on the 70th Anniversary, the 20th of September.

Our University's congratulatory speech was given by Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Márta Széll on behalf of our Rector, due to his pre-existing academic engagements.

Prof. Dr. Márta Görög delivered a lecture on ‘The Question of Intellectual Property in regard to Research Institutes and the Private Sector’.

This conference has contributed to the internationalization of the Faculty of Law and Political Sciences, to the grooming of Chinese relations and to the improvement of the cooperation between the two universities.
