In our globalised world, health can no longer be viewed only in terms of the human being. Instead, a holistic approach and interdisciplinary cooperation including environmental and social sciences as well as veterinary medicine is needed to address current health problems.

What are the Innovation days about?

Development and prototyping of innovative ideas to tackle current One Health challenges. For example, an app that helps farmers to screen diseases in their animals, e.g. for trypanosomiasis in cows, which can be transmitted to humans via tse tse flies.

Who can participate?

Up to 30 researchers and PhD students from the five EUGLOH universities (Paris-Saclay, Lund University, University of Porto, University of Szeged, LMU) who are interested in finding innovative solutions or already have a concrete idea of how to tackle One Health problems in the world.

What can you expect?

Practicing key competences like Ideation und Pitching. Getting to know tools to implement your ideas from User Exploration to Prototyping. Hands on sessions on Mock-up construction. Contact with researchers and entrepreneurs from different fields and with various expertise.

What do you get out of it?

Certificate of participation. For information on recognition within your PhD program, contact your local coordinator.

What about the costs?

No tuition fee.
