The first Lion from Szeged

I have been in the USA only for 3 weeks and I already know coming to study at Penn State University as an exchange student was one of best decision in my life.

I arrived in State Collage on July 29th and I spent my first night in a room booked through Airbnb. The host was really nice and she helped me a lot in my first days. Even though she helped me a lot there were difficulties in the beginning but for now I can surely say that everything is settled.

The day of 31st July was about the registration and orientation in the university afterwards we were invited for a barbecue party where we had the chance to talk with our classmates and professors.

The lectures started on 1st August. All of the L.L.M. students had to enroll the curse called Introduction to U.S. legal systems and all of us needed to pass the exam in order to start the fall semester on the 15th August. image2

Introduction to U.S. legal systems took between August 1 and August 9 and we had to participate on the lectures every single day from 9 am to 4 pm. Moreover, we also had readings and writing assignments to do everyday. Luckily, all of the 136 L.L.M. students passed the exam so we could start the fall term. The courses we enrolled depend only on us so basically we could enroll whatever we wanted plus the mandatory Introduction to U.S. law legal systems. Penn State University offers more than 100 different courses to chose. The only requirement is we need to enroll at least 12 credits but no more than 17 credits per semester.

If I look at the student’s life here, I can truly say being a student at Penn State University is a great experience and also an amazing thing we have so much fun and even studying is amusing here. In the first 2-3 weeks we had numerous events to participate included lunches, parties, and a 2 days tour in Washington DC.

Owing to these events organized by the university we have already became a big family and friendships have shaped out. I think leaving the USA on December 16th is going to be a really difficult task for me.
