(Péter Mezei) Which university are you coming from and what did you study at home?
(Loren Bustos) I studied Bachelor of Arts in International Studies major in European Studies from De La Salle University Manila, Philippines.
(PM) Why did you choose Szeged and what are you studying here in Szeged?
(LB) I am taking up Masters in International Relations with Business and Legal Aspects (MIR-LBA) under the Faculty of Law & Political Sciences. I chose to pursue further studies in Szeged because it is the home of one of the best and prestigious universities in Hungary, namely the University of Szeged. The University is internationally known for its academic excellence and its openness to international students. The University also has well-qualified professors and state of the art facilities. Moreover, Szeged city’s environment is very student-friendly, safe and homelike. It is a city full of life with rich and well-preserved culture, and picturesque views everywhere I go. I could already tell that I will have a wonderful student life in Szeged.
(PM) What are you plans for the future after you graduate in Szeged?
(LB) I plan to return to my country and work for the Foreign Affairs. In this way, I will be able to share my knowledge in dealing with diplomatic and international matters. Furthermore, I plan to join the academe and be an undergraduate/bachelor professor; I want to teach and share my international experience to students who aspire to take International Relations as their major.
(PM) What kind of memories would you like to bring home from Szeged?
(LB) I would love to bring back resounding memories of unique cultural experience from my stay in Szeged. I hope to build new friendship that will leave lasting memories; a good rapport which will help me have a more enjoyable student life. I also wish to expand my network for the future, engage in intercultural immersions and activities, and have a transferable learning experience not limited within the classroom setting. In addition, since I love food, I would love to take home with me the great gastronomic adventure!
