The University of Szeged and the European Public Law Organization (EPLO) signed a cooperation agreement on October 16, 2017, in Budapest. The agreement is part of the trilateral cooperation, which has been established between the Ministry of Justice of Hungary, the EPLO and the University of Szeged. Minister László Trócsányi highlighted that this cooperation is important for Hungary, and the University of Szeged will be an excellent partner for its execution.
Vice Rector Katalin Nagy, as representative of the University of Szeged and EPLO Director Spyridon Flogaitis expressed their commitment to European values, as well as to developing and spreading public law knowledge.
The cooperation between the two institutions can cover wide spheres, such as joint conferences, summer universities, workshops and research projects. Norbert Varga, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Law of the University of Szeged declared that this new cooperation is beneficial for practitioners of several different fields of law.
Anikó Szalai, senior lecturer, representative of the International and Regional Studies' Institute and the contact person between the Institute and EPLO expressed, that the planned programs are aimed at a wide audience, covering not only Szeged, but according to the intentions of the cooperating parties the whole of the Central-European region.
